The thrilling extended contest where the Dodgers beat the Blue Jays by one run attracted a total 51 million viewers across the United States, Canada, and Japanese markets. In the Japanese market, where the final contest began at 9 PM in the local time zone, it drew 12M. This came after last Friday’s sixth game – in which Fall Classic MVP Yamamoto gave up one run in six innings – drew over 13 million viewers, making it the most-watched World Series matchup on a sole broadcaster in the country.
